How to use the washing machine

Suncourt Heiwadori 1001 — The washing machine in the room (fully automatic, 6 kg) works in 5 simple steps.

Basic 5 steps

Turn it on

Press the 「切/入」 (Power) button.
Put in your laundry

Up to 6 kg — do not overfill. Empty all pockets, and put small or easily tangled items in a laundry net.
Add detergent

Pour the laundry detergent provided (it is under the washbasin) into the detergent case at the back, under the lid. Fabric softener goes into the softener inlet.

33 L approx. 22 g
23 L approx. 15 g

If unsure, use a little less.
Close the lid and start

Close the lid and press 「スタート/一時停止」 (Start/Pause). By default it runs the 「標準」 (Standard) course (about 55 min).
When it finishes, hang to dry

It beeps 6 times when done and turns off automatically. Please take the laundry out right away and hang it up.

To change the course

Before pressing 「スタート/一時停止」 (Start/Pause), choose with the 「コース」 (Course) button.

「スピード」 Speed	about 28 min lightly soiled clothes
「念入り」 Thorough	about 60 min heavily soiled clothes
「毛布」 Blanket	about 55 min sheets, blankets
「おしゃれ着」 Delicates	about 43 min delicate clothes

Important

This machine cannot dry clothes (「槽乾燥」 only dries the inside of the drum, not your clothes). Please hang them on the drying pole (in the closet), or use a nearby coin laundry.

Coin laundry map (Guide: “Neighborhood”)

The lid stays locked while the machine is running. To add laundry midway, press 「スタート/一時停止」 (Start/Pause) first, then open the lid.
Do not wash dry-clean-only clothes, down or waterproof items, shoes, or carpets.

Troubleshooting (display codes)

C1Water does not drain
Check that the drain hose is not bent, then open and close the lid once.
C2Lid is not closed
Close the lid firmly.
C3Laundry is unbalanced
Loosen the laundry and spread it evenly, then close the lid again.
C5Water does not fill
Check that the tap is open, then open and close the lid once. (In winter, the pipe may be frozen.)
E9Malfunction
Turn the power off and message the host in chat.
The lid will not open and 「チャイルドロック」 (Child lock) is lit
Hold 「洗い」 (Wash) and press 「すすぎ」 (Rinse) to unlock.

Winter draining

The washing machine and the water heater also need to be drained. We will guide you through the steps in chat, so please message us before you start draining them. Please do not try to operate them on your own.
